I really like the content of this program, but it's a lot of stuff to get done. Lately between trying to get the girls to get their Language Arts and Math caught up along with any reading they need to do all I have time or attention span left from them is to read the TT text. We rarely do any crafts or activities.
I asked them about school today and they said it's okay, but they miss the fun stuff. I feel like I'm fighting so much trying to keep up that it's no longer fun. And besides that when I asked them about past years...what they remembered it was the fun activities associated with learning a topic. So, I was praying about stretching Crossings and Cultures to 1 1/2 years each and relaxing a bit and having more fun. How is everyone else doing with these programs? Or is it just me? I worry I'll get behind by time high school comes, but maybe now is the time to be more flexible. Thoughts anyone?

We are using AA1/AA2 but, you're right, there is a lot of content. And, consequently, that is exactly what we're doing. We started AA1 and between all the content and some life events happening, I was getting too stressed trying to get it all done. So, we are taking a little break and then resuming at a slower pace. It will take us about 3 years to finish both programs. And that's OK with me. Their education is not a race and I want them to actually enjoy learning. HTH
