I'm using HIH with all my kids this year.... the SOTW reading bores my 4yrold and down. The oldest 2 are 7 and 9 and it's perfect for them. Everyone loves the hideaways of course!
And there are activity books for SOTW and I'm using them but you certainly don't need to. The WP book (can't think of the name) that has hands-on activities is basically a rip-off of SOTW activities so don't get both. Our library has the SOTW activity books so you may be able to browse through one and see what's it like. I would do AW for K if yours is an animal lover. Just my 2cents ![]()

I will have a 1st grader and a pre-k next year and I think we will be doing AW. I want their first year to be fun for all of us and they love animals. I might add in history with History Oddessy or maybe just a little American History. I have not decided yet. Then I thing we will do HIH the next year. At least that is the plan today. LOL!
