I am wondering if this is also done in culture order rather than strictly date order, the same way QAW is scheduled?
Has anyone tried doing this program, but doing it in chronological order, the way it is set out in MOH? I love the books and assignments for QMA, but have found it the one frustration of my year this year while going through QAW. So, I am toying with the idea of rearranging things a bit for next year, but wonder how difficult it would be? I am mostly wondering about how to fit Jr high assignments in. I think I can shuffle the readers around without a problem. Could it be as simple as rearranging the weeks? What do you think?

It is done like QAW, but it would not be difficult (IMO) to follow MOH's order instead (which is what we are doing). If you check the MOH2 yahoo group there are some AWESOME ideas for movies, readers & activities that you don't want to miss.

Thanks. I'm on the MOH1 yahoo group, but I guess it's about time to start checking in with MOH2 and getting some ideas!
Are you using all the WP QMA books? Once I get to see the IG I'll have more of an idea just what's involved. I think with the Jr/Sr high there are assignments/activities that are spread over 3 weeks. This might be awkward if I want to do that.

I use everything except Gothic Geometry, Illuminated Lettering, and the readers. My ds is not much of a fiction lover so I schedule in videos and non-fiction books (like Kingfisher/Usborne books) instead.
As for the projects, DS picks the ones he wants to complete, but I don't give him a deadline. There are 70 "quests" in the Investigate The Middle Ages book and while some can easily be completed from a few minutes to an hour or two, 11 research projects are scheduled for 3 weeks at a time. We have so many other things going on that we are not doing any of the 3-week research projects. You could probably schedule one on a Friday or Saturday as a "family project" if you wanted. That's the beauty of WP, it is really easy to tweak it to fit your family's lifestyle and still keep the integrity of the program.
