Is anyone else finding this really basic? Ds is 2nd grade, and finding it kind of boring. Any thoughts?

I think it all depends on how much the particular child has done before the program
. But since you have it - there are probably some ways to ramp it up a bit without blowing up the whole program For each topic in the IG that is too basic, try internet searching lesson plans for the same topic. You might then find an extension that ups the content enough without breaking the flow. Or if the budget/time allows, field trips on the same subject, a trip to a science museum that has a related exhibit, or a kit with some more experiments on the same subject might also beef it up. I liked the structure of it, but i did use extra experiment book and related reading to stretch it up a bit. Its been a while so i don't remember exactly what i used, but that was how. I did also use enchanted learning to bring in some LA opportunities and crafts on some topics too. Jam

We too found it a little easy and dry at times. We have since moved on to doing our own thing using resources from AW that we have.
