I'm packing for the weekend to go to Columbia for two of my kiddos to have their re-evals done. My two oldest and I will go down tomorrow and work in ds's house --painting. Then dh will bring the younger two tomorrow evening. We have to be at the Psychologist's by 9am on Sat. morning - ugh! My kids aren't early morning people!

They are both nervous --ds because it's a situation that he doesn't really recall and he gets anxious. DD bec she's a perfectionist and is worried she might miss something ----um yeah honey you are suppose too!

I know they'll do fine --yes they'll still show LD ---but I do always feel that my skills as a teacher come into play. You know, am I doing all I need to do with a Special Needs kid.

You are not alone with feeling under a microscope- I deal with that as well. I document everything we do in case, and make sure that I get an IEP anyway that consistently reflects the issues and any accomodations i make to a traditional program (ie, reduced writing, more time, testing accomodations for the mandatory testing. Even tho that is a pain and i don't get services from the district (other than 1X monthly conversation with Sped IF i want it), it is a track record just in case.
