Anyone else a bit taken back to be reading history that they actually remember? It's rather interesting to be reading in the Encyclopedia or Story of US and remember things--also is interesting to realize how much 'fact' is really an interpretation of viewpoint!

It is kind of fun to give my dc my perspective on things--of course they wondered who the first president I voted for was.

Hi Amy,

What fun you must be having! I'm looking forward to hitting more recent times, especially in the Hakim books.

Right now we're about to study Alexander Graham Bell. I'm old but not that old! ;)

I'm from the JFK era...shhh....don't tell anyone!

I experienced some of that when my oldest did Core 300 this year (20th Century World History).

So, Amy.....who WAS the first president you voted for? :D

Well, it was Reagan, but it was for his 2nd term--I was much too young in 1980 to vote!!
