Hello,
I recently checked out a great book from the library to supplement our Going West study. It's titled "Patty Reed's Doll" by Rachel K. Laurgaard. It tells the story of the Donner party as seen through the eyes of Patty Reed's little doll.
Fot those of you living in northern CA. this doll sits in the museum of Sutter's Fort.
